Startup Labs and IdeaSpace Partnership supports Pinoy Technopreneurs

Good news Pinoy Startups! Startup Labs and IdeaSpace Partnership.

Filipinos are again given another opportunity to excel globally with the entrance of a respected global co-investment program for tech startups that focuses on emerging markets – Startup Labs.

In the Philippines, their exclusive partner is IdeaSpace  with Siermer & Associates, ICCP Venture Partners and other angel investors are also investment partners. The program is now open to all interested applicants until January 20. Pitching sessions with the angel investors will be on February 20.

This is what Startup Labs Director Turce Ergul has to say in a interview:

“I am very excited to be bringing Startup Labs to Philippines. I find Philippines to be a very exciting market with a lot of potential especially once the entire ecosystem and investors are aligned. We will be mixing the local investors’ expertise with a global Silicon Valley and the Philippine context. The ecosystem is very young and there’s a lot of market fragmentation but this only makes things more exciting for us.”

For IdeaSpace, this is also a welcome opportunity for tech entrepreneurs and a step closer in reaching their mission. IdeaSpace President Earl Martin Valencia exclaimed:

““It’s a good time for tech startups in the Philippines and this collaboration with Startup Labs is another opportunity for local technopreneurs to pilot in the Philippines and scale to the world. IdeaSpace is continuously building synergies with international groups like Startup Labs to help foster this ecosystem.”

Startup Labs plans to visit 25 cities on 4 continents in 2013 and gather at least 100 local investors for its target 125 start-ups that it will be supporting around the world.

Startup Labs and IdeaSpace Partnership is a big opportunity not just for the local technopreneurs but for international groups as well.
