Free Education: UP Open University offers 28 new courses you can include in your resume

The University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) welcomes another year of learning by opening 23 short courses and five multimedia production courses. These courses are open to everyone who aims to make time for self- and career-development.

Whether you want to upskill yourself or fulfill your interest in learning new things, these self-paced courses are definitely must-haves. You can even insert them as 16-hour trainings to improve your resume at no cost.

The Massive Open Online Courses program has added new sets of interesting and relevant subjects you can choose from across different fields. These include gender sensitivity, parenting, entrepreneurship, crisis management, strategic planning, basic graphic design, and video editing, among others.

“At the end of each course, e-certificates will be awarded to course completers, which you may include in your resume as a 16-hour training,” the UPOU said.

To enroll a course, you need to first have a MODel account by simply following the steps below:

  • Register for an account here.
  • Fill up all the required fields as accurately as possible.
  • Click on “Create My New Account.”
  • You will receive a confirmation email through your provided email address.
  • After confirming your account, you can now log in on the portal.

“Using your MODeL account, browse through the featured courses section and select the courses you want to enroll in in different formats and styles when they open in February,” the UPOU added.

Moreover, the UPOU pioneers an online teaching and learning space for people of all ages. Their programs map out curriculums for those who want to pursue studies without going to a physical school and/or paying tuition fees.
