“Becoming a Champion” takes a lot of personal reflection, practice and mentoring from world-class and successful mentors. Just last week, I was able to interview successful individuals, and most of them shared that their successes were not an easy walk. Events like these are one of the rare moments where you can pick the head of these “Champions” and learn how they succeed in life and career.
And this year, it excites me to be part of the participants of the LH Leadership Conference 2012 titled “Be a Champion” on the 27th day of July 2012 at the posh Oakridge Pavillion, Oakridge Business Park along AS Fortuna Street at the city of Mandaue. Events like these, is one of those times where I am refreshed with new insights from the Champions themselves.
Commencing on the afternoon, the event will be a learning session from notable speakers who will share the principles behind the concept of “Being a Champion” in life and at the same time living a healthy and active lifestyle.
These are the prominent names who had confirmed as speakers for the event:
- Dyan Castillejo. Unknown to most, before Dian joined the mass media, she was a Wimbledon and U.S. Open tennis player. Ms. Castillejo will share about the “Heart of a Champion”.
- Suzi Abrera is a well known personality in GMA 7. Paolo Abrera, Suzi’s better half is also known as one of the most prolific adventurer and sportsman. Combine them, and you will imagine how they take care of their kids. I think, it is perfect that these events organizer chose this power couple for the topic “Raising Champions”. I assume that this talk will be more of imparting insights from their experiences in raising their kids, and keeping the balance in the family and career.
- Team Manager Dan Palami. Who would dare to forget his name when you mention the Philippine national football team, the Philippine Azkals? Together with the whole team, they will share learnings based on experience on “Building a Championship Team”
The ticket is a peasy Php 2,000 per head, knowing the world-class insights you can have from this event. Aside from that, attending this event can go a long way in helping LH Foundation in producing another event as this and of course supporting the foundation of its choice, like the Alumni Association of Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu. Isn’t this also “Law of Giving?”
For those who don’t know, LH Foundation is the philanthropic arm of LH Paragon Group of Companies. Best about this Cebu-based company is their vision of a progressive Cebu by providing avenues for spiritual growth formation, quality education and healthy environment.
Noteworthy to mention, this years conference is made possible by Oakridge Realty, Basic Graphics, Matimco Inc, Creative Cuisine, Sunstar, Y101, Cebu Ad Consultants Inc., Golden ABC, and LH Prime Medical Clinic, RCTV,

I guess 2,000 pesos is worth being a champion… I’m sure a lot of people will participate in it…
I know one of the speakers. Dan Palami was a candidate then for mayoralty race here in Tacloban. I never thought that he would become a manager of the Philippine Azkals. It’s nice to have speakers like him because they can really share some leadership views and ideas.
2k? I can’t afford that at this time. hehe. XD
We really would learn a lot from champions themselves. It’s good that they are holding events like this to inspire others.
Thanks for sharing this information sir. The tickets are a bit pricey though…
I’m sure this will be a really fruitful event. Athletes should take this opportunity to meet and learn from Dyan Castillejo, Paolo and Suzi Abrera, and Coach Dan Palami. =)
It’s good that the speakers for this event are known winners and also in the field of sports.
Great set of resource speakers. This is just one ‘leadership’ event that should not be missed.
it’s a bit pricey but what the speakers will share and what others can learn from the speakers will be worth more than 2,000 pesos
The speakers are some of the known and best in their field. This should not be missed by many.
Wish to attend conference like this in the future especially when shouldered by my company
Well if you really want to be in this conference, 2K is way cheaper than most.
Agree on that Eihdra. As what my mentors always say, “Pay the price of every knowledge learned.”
too bad I missed this one. I’m eyeing conferences like this these days for I am looking forward to having a management career soon.
Though it was raining that time, the intensity and learning experience fired up everyone in the conference room
